About the Taskforce

The DuPage County Heroin/Opioid Prevention and Education (HOPE) Taskforce was a joint operation of the DuPage County Board and the DuPage County Board of Health and is no longer an active taskforce. However, past agendas and minutes can be viewed. 

The HOPE Taskforce, which began its work on January 19, 2018, concluded its work on August 11, 2023.  If you are interested in learning more about substance use prevention and mental health coalition opportunities, please visit the active coalitions or task forces listed below.

Behavioral Health Collaborative

The Behavioral Health Collaborative (BHC) is a cross-sector BHC partnership of DuPage County leaders that works collaboratively to identify and implement data-driven strategies that improve access and quality of behavioral health services for all DuPage County residents, advocate for aligning resources and funding, and educate the community about the signs and symptoms of mental illness.

DuPage Council on Strengthening the System for Mental Health and Substance Use Care

The Council is an interagency-interdisciplinary advisory task force with the goal of catalyzing public understanding and public policy innovation through community partnerships to strengthen the local behavioral health system. Meetings will occur quarterly or as needed and are in person at a location determined prior to each meeting.

Prevention Leadership Team

The DuPage County Prevention Leadership Team is a coalition working to reduce substance use and increase mental health among DuPage County youth. The coalition has been active since 2011 and meets monthly.
